Made with unusually large round freshwater cultured pearls with solid nacre and only minor surface characteristics (see photo below), this white pearl necklace is truly extraordinary. Considering that most freshwater cultured pearls fall into the 4-11mm size range, and only about 2% of each harvest produces round or near-round pearls, a round, 11.5mm AAA-quality freshwater cultured pearl, eight to ten years in the making, is extremely rare. A matched 18 inch strand of such pearls is truly an exceptional treasure. Valuable and beautiful, this is not a necklace you see every day.
