• Tiffany and Co. was founded in 1837.
• In 1861 Tiffany and Co. was commissioned to design a presentational pitcher for the inauguration of President Abraham Lincoln.  At that same time the president gave his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, a Tiffany seed pearl jewelry suite. 
• In 1886 Tiffany and Co. introduced the (now very famous) six-prong Tiffany setting. 
• In 1958 Breakfast at Tiffany's, a novel by Truman Capote (1924-1984), is published. As a result of this title, tourists in New York are always asking the staff of the Tiffany jewelry store when they serve breakfast, but they actually do not serve any meals there. 
• In 1961 Breakfast at Tiffany's is made into a movie starring Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebesen, and Mickey Rooney. 
• In 1967 Tiffany was commissioned to make the first Super Bowl trophy. (Who likes football?)
• In 1974 the designs of Elsa Peretti are introduced by Tiffany and in 1980 the Paloma Picasso jewelry designs are presented.
• In 1999 Tiffany jewelry stores announce their newest jewelry setting called the Lucida, a contemporary ring design. 
• In 2003 the Tiffany Legacy Jewelry Collection is introduced. 
• In 2004 NASCAR commissioned Tiffany and Co. to create their championship trophy (have you seen it - WOW).
• In 2006 - we still adore Tiffany jewelry, especially their pearl jewelry.
